‘I’m the reason artists get good deals’ – DJ Maphorisa

DJ Maphorisa was once again not shy to toot his own horn after sharing that he is the reason why artists get good deals with record labels.

Real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, the Ba Straata hitmaker wrote on X, “I’m the reason why artists get good deals with labels cause I showed them how to do it for free. I’m a game changer. I made artists to have a big appetite when it comes to music business. Tell me if I’m lying.”

There is no doubt that DJ Maphorisa is responsible for some of Mzansi’s biggest hits. Although this is the case, this did not stop social media users from telling the deejay to slow is roll.

“You are walking your own path. Whatever you do, you doing it for yourself. You are not doing anyone anything or any favour,” commented an X user.

Maphorisa replied, “I’m not selfish, my path is not your path. We not the same. I’m here to help people, it makes me feel way too good.”
