Season 18 Idols South Africa winner Thapelo Molomo shocks internet users with his weight loss journey.

Thapelo who entered the singing competition in its last season was candid about his weight loss journey.

During an interview with information hub TshisaLive Thapelo said, “I realised that I gained so much weight and most of my clothes are not fitting me anymore so I felt the need to start working out, adding that, “I had to cut down sugar, no junk, and avoid heavy meals. I ate greens such as green salads and fish. My workouts at the gym include cardio more, which speeds up weight loss.

“I’ve been consistent with my diet and the gym. It was not easy having to not eat junk like pizza for a while and eat greens. I ate twice instead of three times daily,” he said to the above-mentioned source.

After winning the competition, he was able to pursue a successful career in the international music industry. Notably, a personal initiative of his, the release of an EP, has proven to be successful.

The above-mentioned source states that he went from weighing 120kgs to now weighing 99kgs.

Idols winner took to Instagram to post a before and after picture of his weight loss journey with the caption, “Uncle Thapelo verses Thaps. I had to be consistent this time around and am super proud of change in just 2 full months and still going. Lets keep pushing you.”
