Icala returns to the screens with more laughs, lies, and drama

Bigger, bolder, and funnier than ever, this season is sure to be. Await more chaos, humour, and breathtaking drama as Icala makes its eagerly awaited comeback to television!

The popular comedy series is back, and it will keep you captivated from beginning to end with its thrilling blend of humour, outrageous lies, and memorable situations that you did not know that you needed. Make sure you do not miss any second of it as it premiered on 6 January 2025.

According to the Mzansi Magic website, “In the new season, MaShandu, is once again forced to confront her philandering husband. Hlabangani returns to his old ways and impregnates Nurse Goba (Ntokozo Ngcobo). He begins to flaunt his new life and embarrasses MaShandu (played by Lerato Mvelase) by moving in with his new mistress. MaShandu decides to take matters into her own hands.”

You can anticipate even more shocking secrets and outrageous actions as the show’s distinctive blend of wit and drama continues to make it a fan favourite in the second season.

Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of drama, deception, and laugh-out-loud moments as Icala S2 starts Monday, 6 Jan on Mzansi Magic.

The website mentioned above also states that season one follows Hlabangani (Bheki Sibiya), a reckless and self-centred man who declares to his devoted, vengeful wife, MaShandu (Lerato Mvelase), about the kid he fathered with her best friend MaNxumalo (Sannah Mchunu), in Season 1, believing he was dying, revealing the plot twist of him not dying.
