Following a successful performance at this year’s DStv Delicious Food and Music Festival, renowned singer and actress Jill Scott has shared a heartwarming message to her fans in mzansi.
The musician was among one of the few international artists who graced the stage at this year’s festival at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Gauteng. Despite the province being one of a few who have been unfortunate to have experienced that freezing cold snow – which is unfamiliar to most South Africans, she has still managed to feel the adoring warmth and love from her mzansi fanbase.
Taking to Instagram she shared a video thanking them for the unforgettable experience, promising that she would soon return.

During her brief stint in the country, she also managed to get herself a South African name.
In response to one user who enquired what it was, she commented: “Mamekhaya (the lady of the house).”
