‘I want to buy him a Bells’ Somizi reacts to Sizwe Alakine drama

by Zintle Mdaka

Amid the drama that was between artist Sizwe Moeketsi better known as Sizwe Alakine or Reason and the presenters of Piano Pulse podcast Sifiso, Munaka, and Thakgi, Somizi Mhlongo crowned Sizwe Alakine a King for standing up for his girlfriend on a public platform.

This heated commotion stemmed from when The podcast and Chill Network’s Piano Pulse shared on their podcast that Reason downgraded when he dated his rapper girlfriend Gigi Lamayne after his breakup with Luthando Shosha better known as Lootlove.

Without further ado, Reason visited the podcast and asked Sifiso and Thakgi to repeat what they said about Gigi to his face. This turned into a heated exchange as Reason went on a rant about how problematic it was for them to use their public platform to spew baseless opinions about people. He also made it clear that he did not appreciate them sitting down and discussing his girlfriend and going as far as comparing her to Lootlove.

Somizi was impressed by how Reason defended his girlfriend on a public platform, leading to him jokingly asking for his Capitec account number because he wants to buy him a Bells whiskey.

Somizi Mhlongo has humorously asked Sizwe Alakine for his Capitec account number, offering to buy him bells.

This comes after Sizwe made headlines for defending his girlfriend, Gigi Lamayne, during a recent incident at Piano Pulse.

Somizi was not the only one who was impressed by this stance, Gigi also took to her X (formerly Twitter) page to gush about Reason.
