‘I have a beautiful daughter that was born before I met her,’ Murdah Bongz to Kairo

by Silindokuhle Booi

Murdah Bongz makes fatherhood seem easy by effortlessly embracing his role as a dad in a blended family and showing equal love to both of his children.

The musical artist and DJ Zinhle’s husband, whose real name is Bongani Mohosana, is popularly known as Murdah Bongz. He has been candid about their journey together, from their traditional wedding to navigating a blended family together with their co-parenting dynamics.

Their journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Co-parenting came with its own complexities, especially when it came to DJ Zinhle’s daughter, Kairo, from her previous relationship with the late rapper AKA. Initially, Murdah Bongz reportedly struggled with AKA’s involvement in their child’s life, but they eventually worked through their differences.

Today, Murdah shares a visibly strong bond with Kairo. Whether they’re enjoying tennis matches with his biological daughter Asante or simply spending time together, he continues to show up as a present and loving father figure.

Recently, he took to his Instagram page and shared a series of pictures with the caption, “I have a beautiful daughter that was born before I met her.”

One user said: “Oh my, reading this as a mother who is raising a child whose father is late I’m in tears Bhuti, may God bless you abundantly and may he increase your territory. A father is what you are!”

Another one manifested to have a husband like Murdah.

DJ Zinhle also replied, “I am grateful to have you.”
