A video of Kairo Forbes, daughter of South Africa’s number one female deejay, DJ Zinhle and the late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes visiting the 5FM studios was shared on the popular social media platform Instagram, warming many people’s hearts.

Kairo recently spent her second Father’s Day without her father AKA who was gunned down outside a food establishment in Durban’s busy street Florida Road, early last year.

Since then, her mother has praised her stepfather Bongani Mörda Mahosana for fully stepping in and showing love and compassion to the soon-to-be nine-year-old Kairo.

Kairo is not only popular because of her celebrity parents. The grade three learner co-owns the Era Kids watch and bracelet brand with her mom, she is also a brand ambassador for brands like Nedbank and Cotton On to name a few.

Talking to Kairo, the 5 Takeover presenter Joddel Tantij told her that they would engage on whatever idea she had in mind.

The 2023 Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year award winner responded by saying, “Yeah, I get paid to talk. I kind of talk a lot. ”

Speaking to the radio station listeners, the soon-to-be nine-year-old shared, “Hey this is Kairo Forbes coming to you live from Joburg. Today we’re going to be talking about nine is a vibe.”

Off air, Kairo went on to tease the presenters with a riddle.

The video clip was shared on Kairo’s Instagram platform with the caption, “Hanging out in the studio with @jodelltantij after we talked about what I went there to talk about! …. stay tuned.”

The video attracted a lot of comments from internet users who noted similarities between Kairo and her late dad’s personalities.

“Outspoken just like her daddy, we see AKA in you sweet baby. You’re a superstar angel, keep shining,” said a user.

“Coming to you live from Joburg sounded exactly like daddy,” noted another user.
