‘I don’t believe Kelly Khumalo killed her baby daddy’ – Ntsiki Mazwai

by Bongiwe Mati

A court statement with testimony that implicates multi-award-winning sensation Kelly Khumalo as a mastermind behind Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s death was recently shared in court, sparking major debates on social media platforms.

Senzo was sadly gunned down at the singer’s home on October 26, 2014, in Johannesburg’s Vosloorus. According to testimony from the people who were at the house, the goalkeeper, who was then expecting a child with Kelly, was shot when intruders came into the house, demanding money and their valuables.

The defense team refuted these claims contained in the statement bringing forward information that alleges that lead investigator Brigadier Gininda, offered accused number 2, Bongani Ntanzi, R3 million to implicate Kelly. This is said to have taken place on the 21st of June 2020, after Bongani’s alleged first confession, which took place on the 19th of June 2020.

Kelly has not yet been called to answer in front of the magistrate and according to the South African law, she is innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Sharing her view on the matter, poet, singer, and podcaster Ntsiki Mzwai expressed on her social media that she did not believe Kelly killed her Senzo, who she was expecting a child with.

“I don’t believe that Kelly Khumalo killed her baby daddy. It just doesn’t resonate.”

One user asked the podcaster what her thoughts would be if roles were reversed, and Kelly had died at Senzo’s home.

If Kelly had died at Senzo’s home and cellphones records link him with the Killers, would you believe him? Yes or No will do

Another user expressed that people kill one another all the time, further stating that Kelly might not have killed Senzo but alleged that she knows who did it.

Some women does that all the time.

She might not have ordered the hit but she knows/saa the perpetrators and she doesn’t wanna disclose them

Another listed reasons why he believes that the singer is guilty, commenting:

1. There’s phone records of her & accused number 1.

2. She allowed her baby daddy to die first before taking him to the hospital

3. She tampered with evidence by cleaning the crime scene

4. She kept his ID & Bank cards for a whole week.

5. There was no robbery.

Guilty.
