After continuous postponements and ultimately a cancellation of the highly anticipated Hey Neighbour Festival, organisers of the event have no certainty of when ticket holders will be refunded.
Those looking to attend the famous festival have been overwhelmed by a wealth of emotions earlier this year. This comes after the festival was dominated by a series of postponements from the initial date in December 2024 until September this year, when it was officially cancelled.
In a recent statement, the organisers of the event apologised for the inconvenience caused, thanking festival goers for their patience during this time.
“We know this isn’t the message you were hoping to receive, and we want to start by saying thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for still believing in what Hey Neighbour stands for,” the statement read.
They further added that following the cancellation of the event, they were committed to processing the refunds by the end of October. However, attempting to do so appeared to be a challenging task.
“The process is complex and may take longer than we’d hoped, but we want to assure you that your refund remains our top priority.”
“We are unable to confirm the exact date for the refunds at this stage, as we want to avoid creating any further frustration.”
This year’s event promised to have an exciting line-up of performances, with the headliner being Doja Cat. With this now not matrialising, fans have been left bitterly disappointed.
