A former member of the well-known Soweto Gospel Choir once captivated audiences with her angelic voice singing hymns like “Modimo Re Boka Wena.” Her voice, a pure and powerful instrument, brought a heavenly touch to each performance, leaving listeners in awe.

However, a recent viral clip showing  Lehakoe Tladi in a dire state has brought her inspiring journey and subsequent hardships into the public eye, indicating a wave of concern and support from social media users.

Watch Lehakoe performing Modimo Re Boka Wena:

The recent viral video, however, paints a different picture of Lehakoe’s life. In the footage, she is seen in the streets, visibly distressed and far removed from the vibrant and spirited performer she once was.

A Tik Tok user @jerrymayajerrymay shared a video showing Lehakoe in a bad state and singing in a tent.

Tik Tok users expressed their shock and sadness at her current situation.

One user said: “Can someone assist her to claim back the powerful talent..pls someone out there..I just listen to her on Modimo re boka wena..Amazingly talented.”

Another one said: “God please show us your greatness and restore her again!”

A former member of the group also showed concerned and said: “Ooh LORD, I use to sing with her on Soweto Gospel Choir ooh lehakoe what happened. please let us know how can we reach her please.”

Mr. Jerry Maya provided an update and thanked everyone who reached out in a TikTok video.
