It has been a tough journey for the former Rhythm City actress Mapula Mafole. Following prior battles with depression, the actress now again finds herself in a difficult place after the passing of her father.

In a recent tweet, the actress shares that trying to adjust to her new life has been challenging.

“It’s been a difficult year. A month ago today, I lost my dad. I’m still not okay.”

Its been a difficult year. A month ago today, i lost my dad. Im still not okay. I don’t particularly want to be here anymore but he would have wanted me to go on. He was my biggest fan and believed in me. Thats my only motivation now. Anyway… I miss you Papa ??️ #cancersucks pic.twitter.com/XUF04hkzvR

Last year the 33- year-old told TimesLive that she would often find herself in a depressive state for no reason but soon realised that it might have been because of her character on the show.

She later admitted that after the show ended, she fell into that state again, but that it was her dad who helped her remain focused.

It’s been a month since his passing and the hurt for her is still as painful as it’s ever been.

She admits that there are times when she doesn’t want to face life anymore but holds on to the voice of her belated father, who always had her best interest at heart.

“He was my biggest fan and believed in me. That’s my only motivation now. Anyway… I miss you, Papa,” she added, later revealing that her father died of cancer.

In a separate post on Instagram, she said that she says that she misses him more each day.

“My heart is broken. Nothing makes sense anymore. Everything reminds me of you. I hate that I can’t share things with you anymore. I hate that you are not here. I will love and miss you until my last day Papa ??️”
