Gospel singer Zaza faces debt claim from One Take Media

South African gospel singer Zaza finds herself at the centre of a financial controversy as One Take Media (OTM) claims she owes them R20 000 for the production of her DVD shooting, “Blowing The Horn Of Chronicles.” The project, released under Zaza’s own Zahza Holdings, has reportedly left OTM seeking resolution for unpaid production costs.

According to ZiMOJA, OTM expressed frustration over artists not paying for the high-quality services they requested, stating, “This is a job for us, it’s not a hobby. How do you ask for a service and not pay for it?”

They claimed Zaza asked them to shoot and edit her DVD recording, paid the deposit, but did not pay the balance.

The above-mentioned publication states that OTM management stated that despite Zaza being frequently booked, she has remained silent for a year regarding the unpaid balance.

They expressed disappointment in having to take the issue to the media due to the high cost of legal fees but are considering small claims court to resolve the matter, insisting that “Zaza must pay!”

In addition to this controversy, Zaza shared a harrowing experience on Gogo Skhotheni’s podcast. She detailed how she and her husband were hijacked but were ultimately spared when one of the robbers recognised her from one of her songs.

This recognition led to their release, highlighting the unexpected ways her music has touched people’s lives.
