Tumi Motsoeneng, who is more popularly known as Gogo Skhotheni, has shocked her followers after revealing that she will be swapping out her sangoma or traditional healer bags for the bible as she fully makes the switch to Christianity.

Tumi Motsoeneneg, aka Gogo Skhoteni, gained prominence in South Africa’s entertainment industry when she became a reality TV star, starring in her own Moja Love show Gogo Skhotheni. Her unconventional approach to her spiritual calling, as well as her decision to embrace a polyandrous relationship where she had two partners, quickly piqued the public’s interest and propelled her to become one of mzansi’s most popular traditional healers and entertainers.

Recently, the controversial figure took to her TikTok to reveal that she will no longer be practicing as a sangoma or traditional healer. Although she did not disclose what led to this shocking decision, she revealed that she is a child of God, leading some to believe that she has swapped out her traditional practices for religious reasons.

Furthermore, Gogo Skhotheni revealed that despite her decision, she will always acknowledge and respect her ancestors.

Those who have been following Gogo Skhotheni throughout her career have been confused by the decision and revelation by the entertainer. Some credit fellow entertainer Thabiso Mokhethi for the decision, after the conversation regarding faith and spirituality they had on Gogo Skhotheni’s podcast.

“Mr Thabiso Mokhethi I give you a Big Up. You spoke to the child of God, and she listened. Chains of darkness are broken, Hallelujah,” a TikTok user comments.
