Seven years after his infamous live eNCA ‘As it happens’ incident, Deputy Minister Holomisa appears to have the worst luck when facing the media, as he has now made headlines for lashing out during a Gagasi FM interview.

The name Bantu Holomisa is a familiar one to many South Africans for many reasons. While he boasts an impressive political career with commendable nods under his belt, including multiple deputy minister positions, his infamous eNCA teleprompter mishap remains something which some people know and remember him for to this day.

The memory of the deputy minister struggling to make sense of his lines burns vividly in the minds of many. While trying to deliver his lines, he stumbled over his words and ended up looking visibly stuck and unsure of how to proceed. This short, candid, and awkward clip quickly made its rounds across various social media platforms,

Seven years later, the United Democratic Movement (UDM) leader finds himself in a similar circumstance, after he lashed out at a caller and the host, Alex Mthiyane, during the ‘Indaba’ show on Gagasi FM.

Holomisa told the frustrated caller to “Go to hell” for calling him out on his unsavoury attitude towards the people he ought to be serving. When trying to mitigate the situation by de-escalating both parties, the radio host was also told to go to hell by the UDM leader.

After failing to withdraw his statements towards Alex and the caller, the interview was abruptly ended.

UDM leader and Deputy Defence Minister Bantu Holomisa lost his temper on Gagasi FM, telling host Alex Mthiyane and a listener to “go to hell” during a live broadcast.

As expected, the clip has garnered some interesting reactions. Some people are amused by the deputy minister’s actions, highlighting the fact that his reputation precedes him. On the other hand, others have condemned his actions, labeling them as unacceptable.
