The star of the highly followed Showmax reality show Widows Unveiled, Sikelelwa Ngubane, has recently shared a touching post in memory of her late husband, Menzi.

Menzi has been a well-recognised face in the South African entertainment space, as he is best known for his role as Sibusiso Dlomo in the popular soapie Generations. Apart from this, he has made appearances in several other projects including Ashes to Ashes, Gold Diggers and Isibaya.

Sadly, the veteran actor passed away in March 2021 as a result of a stroke, reported news publication SowetanLIVE.

Three days after his death, his 90-year-old father Ndodeni Ngubane also died and the two were buried on the same day in Ladysmith later that month.

Nearly three years later, the void left in the lives of his family remains unfilled.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, his wife Sikelelwa shared a video reel capturing some of their most treasured memories together, expressing how much she longs for his presence.

In her caption, she revealed some of the last conversations they had, not knowing that soon he would be no more.

“Today marks 3 years ungasekho emhlabeni Dali, I vividly remember our last telephone conversation, you said you were tired and wanted to rest, we will speak in the morning, I agreed not knowing you wanted me to release you to rest forever.”

Sikelelwa later revealed that there is still a lot that she does not understand, but finds contentment in how things have turned out.

“I am keeping strong for our girls by God’s grace, one day this all will make sense but for now I still have so many questions, why did things turn out this way? Continue to rest Mbomvu, Myaluza, Somahhashi, Zikode Elimhlophe, you will forever be in our hearts.”
