
Renowned South African musician Freddie Gwala will be involved in raising awareness about gender-based violence and substance abuse. The iconic artist, known for his influential contributions to the South African music scene will be taking a stand against GBV at the annual #Enough With Our Sisters music event.
Freddie will be adding his voice to the fight against gender-based violence when he performs at the #Enough With Our Sisters music event on Women’s Day, 9th of August. The event will take place at the Mzansi Resort (formerly Morula Sun) in Mabopane, as reported by IOL.
The #Enough With Our Sisters event aims to educate and inspire action against gender-based violence and substance abuse.
Freddie is known not only for his contributions to South African music but also for his dedication to the pantsula lifestyle. Born in Mzimhlophe, Soweto, and raised in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal, Freddie has always embraced the street lingo and culture of pantsula.
According to the above mentioned publication, Freddie will be joined by a stellar lineup including actress Sophie Ndaba, Bacardi sensation, and Moja Love Rekereke show talent Phindi Maphendula. Supporting the star-studded cast will be award-winning gospel singer Paul K, Schoolboy, Mawisa, DJ Pro, Machuchu, Tino Mash, Nutty Nice, Machance, Noise, Topito, Thabang Stylist, and Sir Joshua. Together, they will entertain and inspire the masses, drawing attention to the fight against GBV and substance abuse.
