According to ZiMoja, Members of the notorious vigilante group Isikebhe allegedly broke into the home of former Ukhozi FM radio host Sbu Buthelezi due to him allegedly defrauding Gcinumuzi Msibi of R600 000.

In January, ZiMoja published a story claiming that Msibi, an investor from Nquthu in KwaZulu Natal (KZN), had reportedly contributed to the former presenter’s chicken investment plan. The investors were to sell chickens and eggs, promising 100% returns after three months. Msibi explained to ZiMoja that he had gone to Isikebhe to ask for assistance in getting Buthelezi to give his family their money back. “I am happy that Isikebhe managed to go get him because it seems as if the Buthelezi family was hiding him. All we want is our money back. I don’t care if Isikebhe gives him a good beating for all the crimes he has committed. That man deserves everything that is happening to him. We took our money and invested it in his company hoping that we were going to make money in the poultry business,” he said.

A meeting was allegedly held between Msibi and the Buthelezi family where they had allegedly promised Isikebhe members that he will pay back all the money owed. “All I know is that the group went to his place and found him at home hiding in one of the rooms. We suspect that his family has been hiding him for months because he is no longer staying at his Durban’s Umhlanga Rocks place. They have been hiding from all the people that he owes money. I am meeting with Isikebhe group and get an update on what is happening with my matter,” he said.

Sbu Buthelezi reportedly promised to pay half of the money by month end and promised to settle the rest by August.
