When it comes to being in touch with one’s spirituality, it appears that more and more celebrities are embracing the journey of stepping in alignment with who they were called to be.
Recently, the former Trending SA presenter Shaka Sisulu found himself at the centre of conversations, following a report by the news publication ZiMoja, where it was alleged that he has made the life-changing decision of becoming a sangoma.
While the bubbly presenter has not confirmed the news himself, a source told the publication that he has been in his calling for some time now.
According to ZiMoja, the source is said to be a client of the media personality. Speaking to the publication it was said that Shaka started this new journey shortly after leaving the show and that he is considering retiring from the showbiz industry entirely, to focus on his calling.
“He is doing amazingly well as a healer. He is at another level and trains people as a gobela (traditional healing coach) too,” said the source.
If the news is indeed true, Shaka would be joining a list of several big names in the industry that made a transition to embrace their calling by becoming traditional healers.
The list includes people like Dineo Ranaka, Boity Thulo, Letoya Makhene, as well as Phelo Bala.
Phelo decided to embace his calling in 2014, after being bedridden with a severe flu Briefly News reported. At the time, not even doctors were able to assist in healing, which was when healers interceded on his behalf.
Since then, he has been entirely open about his journey and shares the experience through his social media accounts as well as his reality show, Bala Family.
