Fans support actor Ronnie Nyakale’s hustle as a driver

by Limpho Nonkonyane
RONNIE NYAKALE: X

Former Generations: The Legacy actor, Ronnie Nyakale has shifted gears as he landed himself a job as an e-hailing driver.

The actor known for his gangster character, Cosmo on the SABC 1 drama series, is now driving people around.

Despite being on so many popular TV shows and movies, it seems that Ronnie has turned a different direction and found another way to stay afloat during the tough economic times faced by many South Africans.

With so many mzansi actors known to go on social media and ask citizens for donations, Ronnie is continuing to keep his head up and continue hustling.

As per reports by ZiMoja, after being let go by the drama series he has since struggled to get more acting gigs and with things constantly changing in the acting industry, many actors find it difficult to navigate working on TV in current times as most production companies tend to hire those with more following instead of look at the talent produced by people.

Since news broke that the actor was a driver, many internet users have applauded him for hustling instead of falling into the trap of asking for donations or demanding to speak with the Minister of Sports, Arts & Culture, Gayton Mckenzie.

Many X (formerly known as Twitter) users have since come onto the app and shared their experiences with the actor as he picked them up, taking them to their destinations.

I’m loving these vibes from Ronnie Nyakale, hustling, creating an extra income and I’m inspired by these moves ?? pic.twitter.com/ynpmS1zTKD

That guy was instrumental at the Market theatre. For him to end up as a driver, it shows how kuch arts has been neglected by our government, but I’m glad he didn’t sit at home and complain.
