Fans react as Zoleka Mandela opens up about preparing for death

South African author Zoleka Mandela announced last year that she was diagnosed with bone cancer.

Zoleka left her fans devastated after she revealed that her children will be left without a mother.

It appears that she’s made peace with the fact that she doesn’t have much time left. She revealed last year in August that she was experiencing back and rib pain. She went for an x-ray and CT scan and her oncologist revealed that cancer of the bones can neither be eradicated nor cured.

Speaking to Phemelo Motane on Point of View on Kaya FM recently, she revealed that she’s preparing for death. She said that she’s met with family, a lawyer and a therapist to discuss life after her death.

“It will probably sound strange but, I think I am blessed or fortunate enough to be in a position where I am in my planning stages. I am having conversations with my loved ones, lawyer, therapist, and siblings to discuss what happens on the day and after I pass away,” she said.

Tweeps were understandably devastated by the news and were quick to give words of encouragement to Zoleka and her family.
