The family of the late Durban businessman and owner of Eyadini restaurant, Jabulani Thamasanqa ‘Jigga Money’ Zama has been feuding over his estate.
In 2023, news publication, IOL reported that the restaurant had opened its doors in 2011 and had to close down due to Jabulani suffering from a severe stroke late leading to his death. The publication added that before his death, there had been recent claims against Jabulani for selling drugs at his establishment.
According to the entertainment publication, ZiMoja, the businessman left his documents in order, which stated what would happen to his estate, and how he was separated and in the process of divorcing his wife Madlamini Zama at the time of his death.
A close friend told the entertainment publication that Jabulani’s wife and his oldest children were not seeing eye-to-eye when it came to dividing the estate amongst one another. The source added that the former couple had sold apartments they owned and shared the profits, further stating that, because the divorce was still ongoing Madlamini was in charge of all Jabulani’s assets.
According to the mentioned source, Jabulani had two older daughters from a previous relationship and only two boys with his wife.
“She took everything. Jabulani’s two eldest daughters have not received anything and they have accepted that they are not the wife’s children, and they will not enjoy the fruits of their late father’s hard work,” adding that, “They are children and do not know the details of the split and inheritance. They are well taken care of.”
