The announcement that Sello Sebotsana has joined Mzansi’s award-winning eTV soapie Scandal has angered Twitter users.

The actor is the newest celebrity to join the Scandal family, the show announced in a statement on Thursday. Twitter users are currently gagging over the announcement, nevertheless.

The Twitter rage comes from the fact that Scandal also recently cast the ex-wife and alleged victim of Sello, actress, Shoki Mmola as reverend, Prudence Molepo. Shoki had already publicly spoken sadly about the assault she endured from her ex-husband, Sello Sebotsane.

Sebotsana portrays a violent prosecutor who is reputed to pay a price to release SA’s most dangerous convicts back into society, according to the statement.

Sello Sebotsane, who portrays the crooked and violent Prosecutor, is known to return SA’s most dangerous offenders to society in exchange for payment. Avid watchers of the show are appalled by Scandal’s decision to cast Sebotsana after he was accused of domestic violence.

Following the decision to place Sello on the same show as his ex-wife, entertainment commentator Phil Mphela contacted the program. Phil tweeted that Scandal stated that Shoki is now not filming, indicating that the likelihood of the two running into each other is quite slim.

Been in touch with the channel and they telling me that Shoki Mmola, who is Sello Sebotsane’s ex wife, is not shooting at the moment.

I guess that means they didn’t end up on the same set? ??‍♂️
