Emtee reveals he will stop rapping at 55

Retirement in the music industry is normal as there are many musicians who have retired or have revealed when they desire to take a break.

South African rapper Emtee did just that as he announced to his followers about his plans to stop rapping at the age of 55.

Taking to social media, the rapper casually revealed that he will retire from rap music at 55.

“Ima stop rapping when I’m 55 years old,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Roll up hitmaker desires to push his career to the top before he retires, and he claims he will be doing it for his late friend and colleague, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

The rapper also voiced his opinion on the new show titled Love and Hip Hop SA, saying that he was supposed to be a apart of the cast.

“Mane I was supposed to be on this love and hip hop SA shit. Bang’gabhile,” he wrote on his Twitter timeline.

Many people came into the comment section under his post as they encouraged him saying it’s for the best as they claimed it is for “washed up rappers.”
