Former Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) star, Siphesihle Mshini Lekwadu and musician Mthembeni Ndevu – better known as Emtee, found themselves embroiled in a dating rumour.

This comes after a private chat that was had on Direct Messages (DM), between the two made rounds on social media. In their chat, Emtee asked for Mshini’s home address, and when he could pay her a visit. She responded by sharing her location and suggesting a Friday meet-up.

This led to netizens believing that Mshini and Emtee are dating, and that the rapper is cheating on his wife, Nicole Chinsamy. However, the pair debunked those claims.

Mshini took to her X (formerly Twitter) to rubbish the dating rumour. She shared that while in the Big Brother house, she openly supported Emtee and his music.

“After the show, he reached out to me via DM, to express his appreciation for my support. I responded by telling him I am a fan and that I would love to be part of one of his future music videos.

“Over time, we had brief interactions via DM, and in his last message he asked when he could visit and where I stayed. I responded with my address under the impression that our conversation was strictly business-related and in line with my support for his music,” said Mshini.

However, he recently took to his Instagram page to share his side of the story. In a statement, he expressed that he does not know Mshini personally, and that he intended to meet her to thank her for her support.

“I’m ‘married’ so I had no other intention but to say thank you, and figure out a way we could work together, since she is a public figure, a hard worker and a good person generally from what I see,” read the statement.

Emtee also extended his apology to Mshini for how things panned out, and vowed that he did not share their conversation.

“I would like to extend my apology to Mshini, her team and loved ones. I would never intentionally expose our conversations and put her safety at risk, as I prioritise safety as well,” he said.
