Elon Musk’s response to Andile Mngxitama’s fired-up speech gets mzansi hot under the collar

Despite living in the US for most of his life, billionaire Elon Musk always has something to say about South Africa’s politics and race relations.

The Tesla owner often uses his platform X to share his sometimes distorted views.

Elon doesn’t shy away from his disdain for EFF party leader Julius Malema. In February, he wrote: “The likely future leader of South Africa calls for the genocide of four million whites who live there,” in response to a post of Malema calling for a “revolution.”

This time he had Andile Mngxitama on his radar. X account @EndWokeness posted a video of the MK party member chanting “If they kiII one of us, we kiII 5 whites.”

Andile Mngxitama:

“If they kiII one of us, we kiII 5 whites”

“We will kiII their chiIdren, we will kiII their women, dogs, cats… we will kiII anything”

Elon responded with a simple “!”, leaving things open for interpretation.

South African online users soon took to the comments and told Musk to stay in his lane.

“Sorry dude. This went to court and the court didn’t see anything wrong with the speech but you can continue paddling to AfriForum,” reminded an X user.

Another accused the SpaceX founder of double standards: “So THAT’S how it works… you tweet about Andile Mngxitama & Julius Malema but not about Renaldo Gouws & Ian Cameron? Oh I see… I’ll also do the same then

“It’s all about defending our race huh? Cool.”

Others backed Musk and accused Mngxitama of inciting genocide. “I can imagine what it’s like seeing that in your birth country… We’re really glad you’re here, though,” commented a fan.

A political enthusiast wrote: “I never imagined things could become this bad. Everything feels out of control.”
