Elizabeth Serunye, best known for her role as Principal Thobakgale on the popular TV series Skeem Saam, has made it clear that she doesn’t need a man to complete her life. The talented actress recently opened up about her personal life, revealing that her two sons are the only men she needs.

In an interview with Daily Sun, When asked if she ever wanted to have a partner, Elizabeth’s response was refreshingly candid “Well, we can play. I’m not a saint. But thank you so much. I have my two husbands, Bobby and Spotty,” she told the publication, referring to her sons. “There’s a choice I made, that I will never have a partner as long as I’m still raising my boys. That’s how far I have gone,” she added.

Known for her no-nonsense approach on-screen, the mentioned publication states that Elizabeth mimics the same attitude in her personal life.

In addition, reflecting on Elizabeth’s journey according to Sunday World, she began a street vending business, selling cakes for R5 at her street corner every morning between 5:30 am and 8:30 am. “I have tried so many things in my life. This goes from selling cakes by the street corner to working in retail,” she shared.

Elizabeth also spoke about how portraying Principal Thobakgale and being part of Skeem Saam has impacted her life. “I’ll forever be the principal because people have learnt so much from her. I’ve also had a lot of lessons from her. I will remain the principal even in death,” she told Daily Sun, showing how deeply she connects with her character.
