As we are approaching the 2024 elections that will be held on the 29th of May, we have seen all the parties going around different provinces as they hold their campaigns.

The president of the ruling party African National Congress, Cyril Ramaphosa was spotted in Rands (a local popular spot for entertainment that is situated in Cape Town Khayelitsha) during the past weekend, where he was showcasing his deejaying skills.

It is said that he was in the Western Cape for a campaign when he decided to take a break and visit the hangout spot.

Pictures shared on Rands Facebook page sparked a lot of conversation on the social media platform as people were amused and shocked to see him there, one user said, “Elections ziinamanyala (have things).”

They shared the pictures and in their caption, they wrote, “#SeeYourVibe at #RandsOnSaturday #RandsCapeTown.”

Social media users flooded the comment section commenting on how they were drinking with the president, “Country is in shambles and Uncle C is at Rands. God help us all.”

“I just hope he bought everyone a round. Phela he owes South Africa a lot.”

“None of these other parties can match the ANC’s campaign machine. None,” shared another one.

Another one said, ” I don’t think the youth should be entertaining this guy. Instead of smiling ear to ear with him, you should be questioning him nge plan yakhe (about his plan). Crime, jobs, extortion, electricity, lack of service delivery, etc…The ANC will never take South Africans seriously. Rands Cape Town should have asked him to leave unless the above-mentioned subjects don’t apply kuni.”
