The families of our most loved Springbok stars are now officially growing exponentially!

We are now merely weeks away from welcoming the return of the international rugby season, where the World Champion Springboks will kick off their 2025 campaign against the Barbarians invitational team in Cape Town on the 28th June.

While preparations can now officially begin as we get ready to sing our hearts out to our national anthem, rugby couple Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia have given their followers something more to be excited about.

The couple recently announced that they were pregnant and expecting their second daughter.

Taking to Instagram, Anlia, who is a renowned singer and actress, wrote: “Baby Etzebeth number 2 on the way! Can’t wait to welcome our little wildflower girl!”

The news has since sparked a frenzy, with many of their close friends and family taking to the comment section to share their congratulatory messages.

Among those was Marise Pollard, wife to Handré Pollard, who also recently announced that they were expecting their second child. Excited by the news, she wrote: “Whoohooo! Another bestie on the way.”

Eben and Handré were two of several Springboks who announced the birth of their firstborns after winning their second Rugby World Cup.

After Anlia showed off her baby bump at the end of the final in 2023, the two welcomed their daughter in January 2024.
