The upcoming fourth season of The Real Housewives of Durban is set to return to our TV screens with one of the three new faces being actress Zama Ngcobo.

Adding “reality TV star” as one of many feathers in her cap, the Generations star will join original cast members Sorisha Naidoo, Nonku Williams, JoJo Robinson, Slee Ndlovu and Maria Valaskatzis along with newcomers Ameigh Sibahle Thompson and Nqobile ‘Angel’ Ndlela.

“Saying ‘yes’ to reality TV was an easy decision for me to make. There was no social media when I started in the industry, so when it was introduced, one had to adjust and adapt to it and incorporate it into our brand offering,” shared Zama with Sowetan SMag.

“As time went on, reality TV was introduced and suddenly there were reality shows for everything … I took it upon myself to see this as the time for me to diversify who I am and my evolution as a brand.”

Zama further shared with the above-mentioned publication that although she is excited to try something new, she found it challenging getting used to the camera following her.

She laughed, “I had to comprehend the fact that this thing has legs now,” while adding, “It was also hard to pretend as if no one was listening to all your conversations when on set … it took some getting used to.”
