
The Deputy minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Peace Mabe recently sent well wishes to the Hip Hop star, Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jnr popularly known as Da Les, following his hospitalisation after suffering from a stroke.
The incident occurred in his home, at the night he was supposed to celebrate his birthday at Rosebank Night Club Louis; and he had been rushed to the hospital where he is in a stable condition.
On the statement issued by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture (DSAC), Peace said,” On behalf of the DSAC, we wish Da Les a speedy recovery and join his family, friends and fans in prayer for his full recovery and wellbeing,” she said.
Adding to that Peace said they have had the opportunity to interact with his mother who is currently in the USA, and have extended their well wishes to her and the family.
“We want to show our love and support to the family of Da Les during this trying period, and to let them know that the country is behind them, and we are praying for his speedy recovery, so he can get back to contributing to our music and being motivation and inspiration to our young people,” said Peace.
Peace also said that the family and the Department are in constant communication and the family will provide any further updates with regards the hospitalisation and the recovery of Da Les.
