One thing about the Mthombeni household? there is always a milestone to celebrate. TV presenter and medical doctor, Dr Musa Mthombeni does not hold back from announcing anniversaries and ‘monthiversaries’ of marriage to his wife, former Miss South Africa; Liesl Lauri-Mthombeni.
This time, Musa and Liesl are celebrating three years of tying the knot traditionally, taking to his Instagram page to share the news, known for his humorous captions, Musa captioned his post: “Another week, another anniversary of something. Today marks three years of traditional marriage. On this day a traditional angel was born.
“On this day Liesl realised that the cows that she had been waiting for had actually been living a spectacular life. They were visiting the spa three times a week. They had medical aid and were seen by the vet to make sure that opportunistic infections do not touch them, and they ate grass that was grown in the Champagne region of France. To three years of ‘Aliliii’ and ‘umakoti ngowethu’ (the bride is ours),” read his caption.

Amused by Musa’s sense of humour, Instagram users took to the comment section to weigh in:
One user said, “Imagine having a husband with such a great sense of humour.”
Another one said: “You and your Woolworths caption.”
Liesl also took to her Instagram page to share a mini clip in celebration of this milestone, proclaiming that Musa is 100% the man she prayed for.

In the celebratory mood, Musa also shared that he and Liesl are also celebrating their 35th ‘monthiversary’; as he calls it. Musa also made a disclaimer on the caption that they are done with anniversaries for the month of July. However, when the clock strikes 00:00 midnight on the 1st of August, they will be celebrating the first time Liesl said ‘I love you’.
