Does Rachel Kolisi think Siya is still keeping tabs on her socials?

Rachel Kolisi has once again caught attention with a cryptic Instagram post, sparking speculation about whether she was referencing her ex-husband, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi. The former couple, who split six months ago, have remained in the public eye as they navigate their separation, co-parenting, and their continued involvement in the Kolisi Foundation. But Rachel’s latest social media activity suggests that not everything is as amicable as it seems.

A message with hidden meaning?

On Instagram, Rachel posted a quote, amongst a host of other images in a carousel, that had her followers buzzing with curiosity. It read:

“You block someone on everything, and all of a sudden, xajdhjsd starts watching your story.”

The post, while vague, implies that someone she has cut off is still keeping tabs on her through alternate means. While she didn’t name anyone, speculation quickly turned to Siya, given their recent history. Fans quickly dissected the post, with many assuming she was taking a subtle dig at her ex.

Adding to the intrigue, Rachel and Siya have unfollowed each other on their personal Instagram accounts. However, they both still follow the Kolisi Foundation, the charity they co-founded, suggesting that while their personal relationship may be strained, their professional commitments remain intact.

From Valentine’s romance to separation

Just a year ago, the pair appeared to be going strong. On Valentine’s Day 2024, Siya shared a sweet moment from a coffee date with Rachel, soundtracked by Ringo Madlingozi’s romantic hit Into Yam’. At the time, Rachel had encouraged her followers to “spread love far and wide”, while Siya jokingly told single fans to “buy yourself flowers and chocolate”.

Fast forward a year, and things couldn’t be more different. Their split, which shocked fans, has accompanied Rachel’s increasingly candid posts about healing, self-care, and personal growth.

A new chapter for Rachel Kolisi

Since the separation, Rachel has been open about her emotional journey, often sharing motivational messages, reflections, and glimpses into her life as a newly single woman. Her latest post isn’t the first to spark speculation, and it likely won’t be the last. Whether or not she was referencing Siya, the message was clear—she’s setting boundaries and keeping her circle tight.

As she moves forward, Rachel is prioritising herself, her children, and her future. But with such a high-profile split, the public will no doubt keep reading between the lines of her posts for clues about what’s going on behind the scenes.
