This weekend, thousands of fans flocked to the Loftus Versveld Stadium in Pretoria to witness their favourite music duo, The Scorpion Kings, live in action, performing some of their greatest hits.
While the show may have been well attended, this did not come without some drama. This comes as one of the performers, Cubique DJ, took to X (formerly Twitter), revealing that he had become a victim of auto theft.
Captioning his post, the music producer wrote, “That Scorpion Kings show was a solid 10/10 even though my car got stolen.”
This has since caused hundreds of his followers to rush into the comment section to find out more information on how this came to be.
He later assured fans that, thankfully, he managed to retrieve the vehicle at a certain location in Joburg township, Soweto, but what he found was not what he would have imagined.
“Tracker recovered it, but it’s stripped. Literally not a car anymore.”
Shocked by his composed response to the horrific ordeal, many questioned why he appeared to be calm about the situation. However, he responded by saying that this was not going to make any difference to the situation.
Meanwhile, he has now turned to his insurance company to assist in taking care of the situation.
The show itself was described by many as being a night to remember. Attendees were treated to a collection of star-studded performances by some of the continent’s top performing stars, including Cassper Nyovest, Davido, and Mafikizolo.
We really had fun, shem. The Scorpion Kings showed us why they’re geniuses when it comes to music. The production, stage setup, lights, and sound were all on another level. They gave us a quality show everything was on point from start to finish. #ScorpionKingsLive pic.twitter.com/URs1CeysZE
