DJ Zinhle speaks on what to expect from Zee Nation Fest

by Zintle Mdaka

In celebrating two decades in the music industry, the award-winning deejay Ntombezinhle Jiyane popular as DJ Zinhle has put together a much-anticipated music – Zee Nation Fest.

This concert is set to take place on Women’s Day this August, with a dream line-up that includes Morda, Young Stunna, Focalistic, and Kabza De Small to name a few. The event will be hosted by Somizi Mhlongo and Moozlie at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.

Zee Nation Fest recently took to their Instagram page to reveal some of the artists on the line-up, each is revealed after a correct guess from Instagram users.

Speaking to The Citizen, she said,

“I chose the artists who have had an influence on my life or who are my favourite artists. I actually can’t believe that I have this kind of line-up.”

Dj Zinhle shared that she had fears about the success of the event or that people wouldn’t believe in her vision. However, she was enthusiastic to share that it has been an incredible experience to put this line-up together. Even though, some of the artists she wished to have at the concert will not be available on the day, Zinhle feels that the lineup is still amazing.

The Mdali hit maker added that women’s empowerment is the main theme of the event, which influenced the decision to hold it on Women’s Day.

“I feel like my whole career is built on women empowerment, finding a space for me and other females, with Era and grooming female DJs as well, which is very close to my heart,” she added.

DJ Zinhle also took to her Instagram page to share a step-by-step guide of purchasing tickets online. Ticket prices to the event range from R385.25 to R575 and are available at TicketPro.
