DJ Zinhle lays Chris Brown debacle to rest – ‘I’m not crushing on him’

After going viral for her fan-girl moment over American superstar Chris Brown, DJ Zinhle has spoken out to dispel any rumours of her having a crush on the singer, expressing that she is merely just a fan.

Since announcing news of his South African show earlier this year, Chris Brown has constantly been making headlines as the country was divided, with some thrilled at the news and others opposing his endeavour, citing his history of violence against women.

His arrival on South African shores caused quite a stir, as the reality of a superstar of his magnitude coming to perform in their backyard started to kick in. Fans and celebrities alike understandably displayed some groupie characteristics, as their excitement was uncontainable.

After making headlines for her fan girl moment, DJ Zinhle has come out to restate the matter. She revealed that fans have blown the matter out of proportion, as she is merely a fan of Chris Brown, like every other fan. Continuing, the popular businesswoman stressed the importance of respecting her marriage with fellow DJ Morda.

” I didn’t know the Christoper situation had evolved to this extent… I’m allowed to fan over a male or a celebrity and musician of the opposite sex without it being a sexual thing,” Zinhle said.

The post has garnered negative reactions. Fans believe that Zinhle’s actions were disrespectful to her husband, as swooning over another man is a distasteful act. Others believe that the post was triggered by her guilty conscience rather than her wanting to clean the air on the matter.
