DJ Zinhle is not one to take her beef to the streets whenever she’s trending on social media. Instead, she maintains her quiet dignity throughout and minds her own business.

The businesswoman and entrepreneur has been flourishing in her career and private life, so it’s safe to assume that some things get pushed to the side.

Fans often pit her and her best friend Pearl Thusi against each other, especially when the two aren’t seen in public together. This had many concluding that they’d ended their decades-long friendship.

The Era by DJZinhle business owner recently put those rumours to rest during a radio interview.

The mom of two said just before going into her interview with Ikwekwezi FM, she and Pearl FaceTimed and talked about “real life things.”

Zinhle added that their relationship grew more into a sisterhood as it evolved over the years. “Our friendship is so organic I don’t feel like I need to post Pearl all the time,” she said.

“We’re friends forever. It’s not going to end. She’s not getting rid of me any time soon,” mused the DJ.

In August last year, Pearl also spoke candidly about her friendship with Zinhle, real name Zinhle Jiyane, when she was a guest on DJ Fresh’s YouTube podcast WAW (What A Week).

“We’re adults, we’re growing, we’re evolving, so, sometimes we’re going to have moments we’re not agreeing on things,” she said.

Pearl further explained they were always seen together in the early days because they lived together.

Despite the friends leading different lives, Pearl added they will always be connected: “I think there’s a microscopic energy towards us.”
