One of South Africa’s biggest musical talents DJ Tira has decided to take fans on a close-up journey into the rise of his journey with the recently aired docu-series titled Afrotainment: Sgubhu Sase Dubane.

The three-part series showcases the life of the prominent media personality from his humbled beginnings to becoming the success that he currently is in the music scene, highlighting some of the biggest challenges he has had to overcome to make it to the top.

Speaking about what inspired the documentary, Tira told news and entertainment publication, Daily Sun that he has always wanted to show his supporters the journey it has taken him to live the life he now does. For him – the main objective is to inspire those who come after him that they too can achieve great things.

“It was also important for me to showcase Afrotainment as a label, where we come from and where we’re going,” he said.

Meanwhile, speaking to IOL he further elaborated on this adding: “It was all about telling people where I am from, so people can see what it took for us to bring this vibe to Durban to grow the entertainment industry and make the city rock.”
