The future of the renowned entrepreneur and radio host, Sibusiso Leope, otherwise known as DJ Sbu has now been determined.

The bubbly media personality recently announced his resignation from Radio 2000 after he first joined the station last year after 9 years away from the SABC after being fired from Metro FM in 2025.

While many of his devoted listeners might still be trying to digest the news of his departure, it has now been confirmed that the host of The Hustler’s Corner Podcast will make a comeback to breakfast radio but that it will be on a new platform.

This is expected to take place in April of this year.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, he highlights, “This choice has not been an easy one, as my time at Radio 2000 has been filled with invaluable experiences, cherished memories, and wonderful audiences.”

While he expressed his gratitude to all his colleagues who helped make his time at the station a memorable one, he later wrote:

“I am preparing for a brand-new breakfast morning show that I am excited to launch on a different platform starting from April 1, 2025. This opportunity presents a fresh chapter in my career, and I am eager to embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.”

Meanwhile, Sbu later wished the station success in their future endeavors.

While it has not yet been confirmed who the new station to sign his signature will be, those in the comment sections were more than happy to share in his joy.
