Former Metro FM employee DJ Naves has his sights set on doing new things in 2024 and has officially joined the Mamelodi Sundowns podcasting team.

Last month the highly talented DeeJay resigned from the popular radio station saying that it is time for him to try something different.

He confirmed the news via his Instagram page saying that the station has provided him with some of the best years of his life, which is something that he is eternally grateful for.

“As the legendary @tboseza once said, ‘The best radio education is from the SABC. If you’ve been there, there’s nothing you can’t handle. I’m grateful for that. Big thanks to @metrofmsa for that amazing journey,” he wrote.

“It’s a new start, a chance to learn, and a time to create on a fresh slate. My chapter at Metro FM ends on January 27, 2024. I’m so thankful for the experiences, opportunities, and incredible people I’ve worked with. Some of whom have become lifelong friends.”

While the reason for his exit at the time was unknown, he recently provided his followers with an update on what led to the decision.

In clearing up any confusion that might exist he told the entertainment publication Sunday World:

“I left on my own terms. I resigned. I am growing. I needed a new challenge and new adventures. I was feeling stagnant. I have the podcast I am doing with Mamelodi Sundowns. We realised we had to be smart in how we do business.”
