Media personality and businesswoman, Dineo Ranaka has recently shared the nitty-gritty details of her hair transplant.

Dineo visited the hair transplant clinic in Sandton, Johannesburg to recover her receding hairline and hair thinning. According to her clinic, this procedure may be completed in four to six weeks.

Karabo Sekati from the hair transplant clinic, Brows by Karis, recently took to her Instagram page to share Dineo’s hair transplant journey. Captioning her post, she wrote: “Join us on her hair transplant journey as she tackles thinning hair from multifactorial causes such as hormonal changes, hypothyroidism, and those tight hairstyles leading to traction alopecia.”

Taking to her Instagram page, The Ranaka’s and Dineo’s Diary reality star recently shared an update at day five of her transplant, where she opened up about her daily routine of the proskin foam soak of 20 minutes. “I can’t sleep on my sides to prevent damage on the implants, so I sleep facing up for the first few days.”

Dineo also said that she is watching what she consumes, because she believes in helping any cosmetic or medical procedure by also keeping to a healthy regime.

Dineo also disclosed that in the early stages of the hair transplant excessive sweating is not encouraged, “If you’re planning on getting a hair transplant procedure done and you love body training at the gym, you’re in for a toughie just like me.”

Workouts and other activities that may lead to excessive sweats can only be done 21 days into the procedure. However, the radio broadcaster said she was given a leeway to train, as long as she does not sweat. “To not train for 21 days would drive me crazy so I got permission to do very low intensity workouts, the aim is not to sweat,” she noted.
