Did Sjava just hard launch both of his wives?

Following the controversy and rape allegations surrounding his relationship with fellow artist Lady Zamar, Jabulani Hadebe, who is affectionately known by his rap alias Sjava has kept his love life private, for the most part. That is, until recently following a successful showing of his highly anticipated ‘2016 Tour’ where he officially hard-launched what appears to be his two wives.

Sjava, similarly to a handful of South African male artists has faced allegations of rape and abuse from his ex-lover, recording artist Lady Zamar, whose real name is Yamikani Janet Banda. However, the NPA dismissed the case in 2020 due to a lack of evidence and has faced immense backlash and criticism from the ‘Ngemepela’ fanbase. The rumour mill also claimed that the rap star was married when he and Lady Zamar were together, thus labelling her a bitter ‘side chick’ for the allegations.

Since this ordeal and controversy, the former Zone 14 actor has kept his cards close to his chest, particularly regarding his love and private life, despite countless inquiries from inquisitive minds. However, his ‘2016 Tour’ has garnered massive success and after the Durban leg, he took some time to show a few people appreciation for their love and support throughout the years.

Among the handful of people he showed love to, the two that stood out for us were the two women he thanked for their support since he released his debut album in 2016. He also praised these women for the love they have displayed to him and his endeavours.

Although we are unsure whether these women are both his official wives or what the crux of the situation is, however, what we can tell is that everyone involved is content with the situation. It also appears that they have found a way to coexist amicably and have great respect for each other. As a Zulu man, polygamy is not unsurprising from Sjava, particularly as a member of the ‘Shembe’ church, where polygamy is a common and widely accepted tradition.
