Media personality, Denise Zimba, is living every mother’s deepest dread after facing a heart-aching custody battle, which saw her lose her children to her estranged husband, Jakob Schlichtig.

Recently, the former Generations actress took to her X (formerly Twitter) page to share her regrets.

“Haven’t spoken to my children in almost two weeks, my biggest regret is choosing wrong and having my children live with the consequences of my actions.”

Her first child was born in 2019, seven months down the line, they tied the knot, and moved to Munich in Germany as a family. They had their second child in 2023, and Denise filed for divorce in September of the same year.

When they visited South Africa for a two-month holiday, Denise opted not to return to Germany with the children, alleging attempted assault and infidelity.

X users weighed in on the matter.

Recently became a mom💔 reading this makes me wanna 😭😭😭. Yoh hayiii, kids belong to their mothers!!! 9 months risking your life to carry life is life-shattering and joyous at the same time. To stripped off that privilege/sacrifice is gut wrenching

While another one said:

The Bible says on Isaiah 60:22, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen. “I can’t furthom your pain but you will be reunited with your little babies sis. Don’t turn your heart away from God due to the difficulty of the situation. This too shall pass
