Denise Zimba reflects on a lonely Easter after losing custody of children

by Sergio Miller

While parents all over the country have made fun memories with their little ones, engaging in Easter egg hunts and spending time together, this past weekend was an emotional one for media personality Denise Zimba.

The former VUZU presenter has had to spend this Easter all on her own after recently losing custody of her children to her ex-husband, Jakob Schlichtig.

Denise recently took to Instagram, sharing a heartbroken post in which she opened up about how lonely she had felt at the idea of not having her daughters, Leah and Mila by her side.

Captioning the post, she wrote: “I love you, Leah and Mila. I haven’t seen or spoken to you since last Saturday. My body shows I bore my children, but no children are in sight. God only knows why this is happening. The truth will always find its way. Love mama. Happy Easter”.

The last few months have been a rollercoaster of a journey for Denise, this comes after her and Jacob’s relationship hit turbulence following allegations that he had an affair.

While the two always had shared joint custody of their girls, Jakob recently filed for sole custody of their children, with a big concern being their safety and well-being in South Africa.

Despite efforts to counter his appeal, the Johannesburg High Court granted him his request and allowed him to take their children back to Germany.

For Denise, this was met with heartbreak.

Meanwhile, the public has continued to stay by her side during this difficult time.

“Sending you Love. Whatever is impossible with men is possible with God,” commented one user.
