The parenting journey has officially begun for Miss Universe 2017, Demi-Leigh Tebow and her American husband, the former NFL star, Tim Tebow.
This week, the couple officially welcomed their firstborn, Daphne Reign Tebow.
Taking to Instagram, the proud parents shared a gallery of pictures showcasing the special occasion just moments after their little princess was born.
“Our daughter is here! We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life,” she penned.
“We’re so grateful to the whole medical team that assisted us in the best way possible during my labour and delivery. From our doctor to our nurses and all the hospital staff — we are so grateful and thankful for you,” she continued.

The former beauty pageant title holder also shared that the names Daphne and Reign are extremely sentimental and precious to her.
The name Daphne belonged to her aunt, who she affectionately regarded as her grandmother. She describes her aunt as a noble woman, deeply rooted in her Christian faith and having a positive impact in her life.
“I used to tell my mom, ‘I want to be just like Ouma Daphne one day.’ I’ve loved this name since I was a little girl and for as long as I can remember I always said that if I ever get blessed with a daughter, I’ll name her Daphne. Shortly after Tim and I got married, I shared that desire with him, and thankfully he loved the name just as much as I did!” she highlighted.
She added that the name, Reign was inspired by a young girl which she and Tim loved for years, but emphasised that it was also a name that comes with deep meaning, which is to rule – not in power, but in purpose love and identity.

“So here she is — our daughter. Our answered prayer. Daphne Reign Tebow — created in the image of God. Royalty as His princess. Our biggest prayer over her is to reign in God’s purpose for her life.”
