Deli Malinga shows gratitude to South Africa for making trip to Kenya a possibility

After making a public plea for financial assistance in order to attend the Ladies in Media Awards in Kenya, renowned actress Deli Malinga has taken to her social media to express her heartfelt gratitude to South Africa for making the trip a possibility.

During the early parts of the month of March, Umkhokha actress, who plays the fan-favourite character MaMzobe, took to her social media to reveal that she had been fortunate enough to score a nomination for African Female Actor of the Year at the coveted Ladies in Media Awards.

However, due to a harsh reality that has recently been revealed to the public, a reality of instability and financial insecurity in the en Ma’am Deli revealed that she would not be able to fund the trip from her own pockets, and appealed to citizens and sponsors to donate what they could to help her make this trip a reality.

The day of the coveted awards has come and gone, and South Africa’s very own MaMzobe came back victorious, as she snatched the Female Actor of the Year Award. Speaking to Daily Sun, the actress expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in assisting her make this trip a reality.

“I wouldn’t have had that experience if it weren’t for all the people who helped me, and I’d like to say thank you so much for the assistance and those who supported me. I won’t forget,” she tells the aforementioned publication.

Deli also opened up about the harsh realities of the acting industry, revealing that the reason she asked for help initially was due to her gig on Umkhokha coming to an end. Furthermore, she revealed that she is currently busy with auditions and waiting on some callbacks.
