Rapper Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jr., famously known as DA LES is out of hospital and recovering from his house after suffering from a stroke.

According to news publication, TimesLive, in July the rapper also known as the North God had been admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke days before his 39th All White birthday party.

Whilst in hospital, the rapper’s close friends came under fire for asking the public for donations for him to be transferred into private healthcare, and although he was not able to get private care he ended up at Charlotte Maxeke public hospital.

Since the rapper’s hospitalisation, the family has tried to keep his recovery status a secret avoiding any media attention.

Speaking on his condition at the time of stay, a close source said, “Half his face is affected. He can’t talk, he’s just lying there, it’s bad. They were taking him out of a private hospital and to a public hospital. I’ve been there and there’s nothing wrong with that hospital. The machines are working and the nurses are amazing. It’s going to be a while before he recovers. I think it’s like Lira’s situation.”

According to reports by entertainment publication ZiMoja, DA LES has left Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, adding that he was treated with the best care while there.

Despite being there for a few months, his family thought that it would be best for him to recover at home due to privacy issues at the hospital as some healthcare workers were talking to the media regarding his situation.

A close source told the entertainment publication, “Most friends and some family members won’t have access to him until he is fully healthy. I guess it makes sense since Les is strong but to see him like this is helpless and heartbreaking.”
