South African actress and presenter Denise Zimba has shared an emotional post following the reported loss of custody of her two daughters aged five years and 19 months.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she posted, “I made you,” alongside an illustration of a woman holding a baby, seemingly referencing the outcome of her court case.

The post has since garnered over one million views, 12,000 likes, and an outpouring of support from followers.

According to the advocacy group ‘Women for Change’, the Johannesburg High Court ruled in favour of her estranged husband, Jakob Schlichtig, granting him custody of their daughters, and permitting him to take them back to Germany.

Earlier this year, Denise alleged in a now-deleted social media post that Jakob had an affair with a childhood friend she had known since she was 14.

“Nothing worse than finding out your best friend since you were 14 years old has been having an affair with your husband, and that’s why she always ghosted you when you were pregnant and never celebrated you – birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers …” she wrote.

Denise and Jakob were married in April 2022 but are now estranged. While some reports suggest they are in the process of divorcing, others indicate that they are already divorced.

In court documents, Denise cited alleged infidelity and Jakob’s lack of support in raising their children as factors in their separation.
