Criminal accused blogger Musa Khawula flaunts ‘Free Musa’ T-shirt

by Staff Bona

Controversial blogger Musa Khawula was spotted at court wearing a “FreeMusa” T-shirt.

A post by @PSAFLIVE shows the murder-accused Musa proudly displaying the tee. In the video, he is heard asking the person recording to take a picture, striking a pose, and flashing the peace sign. The policeman escorting him is seen smiling, seemingly allowing Musa to enjoy the moment.

Musa’s appearance at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court was likely related to a contempt of court case, which was postponed on February 27.

Known as the self-proclaimed “Pope of Pop Culture,” Musa is notorious for bashing celebrities on social media.

He previously served 90 days in jail for contempt of court after refusing to comply with a defamation verdict obtained by ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula’s wife, Nozuko.

The verdict barred him from posting corruption allegations about her on X (formerly Twitter).

Musa is facing a range of charges, including crimen injuria, contempt of court, and contravening the Cybercrimes Act.

The murder charge stems from an alleged 2022 incident in which he is accused of stabbing his ex-boyfriend, Wandile Khambule, to death.

Reports indicate that Khawula confessed to the act during an interview, claiming it was in self-defence.

In addition, Musa faces charges of attempted murder, reckless driving, and failing to render assistance or report an accident to the police following an incident on February 20, 2021.

These charges stem from his social media posts, which allegedly included defamatory content about individuals such as Ze Nxumalo.

Netizens didn’t wait long to jump into the comments.
