Connie Ferguson warns the public about swindlers using her name

Actress and businesswoman, Connie Ferguson has urged her followers on social media in a stern warning to not fall victim to scammers who use her name.

In the numerous events of fraudsters using celebrity names to scam unsuspecting suspects, this time Connie’s name was used in a trading scheme.

The thespian known for her iconic roles she played on Generations, Karabo Moroka and on The Queen as Harriet Khoza. took to her Instagram page to warn her followers to beware and stay vigilant as there is a page that uses her name to lure people to pay money or invest.

The mother of two said in the caption her post: “Be careful good people! Beware of scammers! I do not do online trading, and I would never ask anyone for money.”

She also added that the criminals are advanced, and they use artificial intelligence to video call people using someone else’s identity and scam them of their hard-earned money.

“Do not be desperate that you ignore your gut feeling that tells you something is not right. Question everything and do some research! Protect yourself and what is yours. Love and blessings always,” she penned.

In the video Connie shared on the socials, she revealed that there is someone on TikTok who takes people’s money and pretends to be her. She said this person claims that they are making investments for them.

“Don’t be scammed, people are taking your money. You won’t get money there are no shortcuts in life,” she said.

She also made it clear that she does not do cryptocurrency or any online investments in any shape or form.
