Former Rhythm City actress Pam Andrews has candidly spoken about her earlier struggles after entering the entertainment industry.
For years the 39-year-old has been well known for her bubbly personality and vibrant spirit. Today she says that it was all a front in order to seek validation from those she came into contact with.
Taking to social media the singer turned actress reflected on her past life revealing that she is currently a work in progress and doing everything she can to turn around the insecurities of her past.
The star first rose to fame as a contestant of a talent competition Coca-Cola popstars during the early 2000’s. At the time she was still a teenager and part of the singing group 101 before pursuing acting in 2003.
“I made so many foolish mistakes and for some reason, I was a very rude person. I was on my own from the age of 17 when I won the singing competition. I was a teenager, had money, was famous, and lived in a different city from my parents. I was basically living my best life at that point.”
As reported by Sunday World, Pam revealed that her behaviour was entirely unacceptable, and recalls clubbing both before and after work hours, funny enough she never got fired.
“Wherever I went I wanted everyone to look at me, and I made sure everyone was looking at me. I was loud, I was very obnoxious. I was wearing these crazy outfits, not this muffin thing that’s going on here, thank you to my child,” she said.
“I was wearing very short skirts. I looked like a slut. Everywhere I went, I made it a mission that I would get attention even if I went to the shop to buy food. So stupid.”
Meanwhile she now reveals that she has been making every effort to improve who she is as a person.
“At the time that made me happy, and today we are working on things with therapy. That was probably a lot of childhood stuff I hadn’t dealt with. I was looking for validation from other people.”
“It’s good to acknowledge and grow where you see where you have made mistakes. And obviously, I know where I made my mistakes. I am looking forward to getting older. I am looking forward to it, and I am so excited to get to know this different phase of my life.”
